A-E-I-O-U

Story Behind The Song

Dan Kleiman, co-writer of this song, was on a beach in Chincoteague, VA, and heard a bird (a tern) singing a song and he felt like he was transcribing the bird's song...about connections, how all of us are connected. Dan Kleiman died prematurely and tragically in February, 2010, but his music and his spirit live on -- his ensemble SIORA lives on...

Lyrics

AEIOU all words are connected and no directive can spoil the stew
Skin on top of bone hides what's inside us
our hearts combine us, love is the glue.
Bridge: In a time long ago, all the lands were as one
A connection so old, from a planet so young.
Then the world broke apart into dissident strains
And even though the oceans divide us still the connection remains.
AEIOU we all are connected and no election makes that untrue
Land and sea and sky all will be affected
Let's be selective in what we do. And Love....Love is the Glue!
