Story Behind The Song
Like the fictional "Sue" from the Johnny Cash song, my father also left me at an early age. But instead of being given a girly name for a boy that would help me learn to be "tough or die", I was given my father's name. I could've had any name in the world but he gave me his own name. So it's kind of like a daily reminder now for me not to make the same mistakes he did.

Lyrics
All my savings disappeared
And its just what feared
My old man walked out my door
And left me on all fours
But the worst thing that he did
Was he gave me his name
(chorus)
He Should Have Named Me Sue
I would have grown up tougher
And a little bit rougher
But now everytime I sign my name
The feelings the same
I'm reminded of what not to do
When I have a son
(chorus)
He should have named me Sue
He should have named me Sue
I'm flying with wet wings
I'm flying with wet wings
