Story Behind The Song
It came to me when I was helping a female friend of mine lose a few excess pounds. We became very close friends and I remember her saying she loved just walking, without going anywhere, and that she particularly loved autumn and walking in the twilight. I based the lyrics on that and built a song around it.
Song Description
It's basically a melancholic love song about someone who is now gone and is missed by the perosn who loved her. He remembers everything about her and the things she liked to do.

Lyrics
AUTUMN
Words and Music by Perry Martin

I watch the falling leaves
Deep red against the blue
I always like this time of year
'Cause it makes me think of you
The sun was slowly fading
We saw the first stars in the sky
You always liked the twilight time
I loved the moonlight in your eyes
Chorus:
Autumn the season
Autumn your name
Somehow love
Still remains
Through all of the years past
I still feel the same
And I would give anything
To have you back once again
In my life
Autumn
You liked to just go walking
Without going anywhere
I never knew where we would go
But I really didn't care
I know your favorite color
And every inch of your sweet face
And the memories remind me now
Of a love I can't replace
Chorus:
