Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after I read an article about the extraordinary life and death of Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones in an English music magazine. When I was a kid I learnt to play guitar listening to a lot of the early Stones stuff, copy Brian Jones´ blues licks and I´ve always been intrigued by the way he pushed the limits both musically and personally by doing absolutely everything to excess. At the end of the article there was a picture of him sitting on the floor in the studio with his guitar hanging around his neck, totally wasted - bloodshot eyes, completely gone - while the other Stones were recording without him. That image basically triggered the lyric for the song.

Lyrics
orange sunshine
i heard a dead man play the blues
like he was howlin’ at the moon
he had a needle and a spoon
i saw he was bleeding
i was crying out for more
with the demons at my door
but they don’t come here any more
now i’ve lost all feeling
can’t you see me here in the orange sunshine?
can’t you feel me here in the orange sunshine?
mr jones what have you done?
your eyes are shot your mind is gone
you took the fall for everyone
now nobody needs you
and there is trouble on the streets
you can really feel the heat
but you’re just prayin’ on your knees
that nobody finds you out
can’t you see me here in the orange sunshine?
can’t you feel me here in the orange sunshine?
maybe tomorrow will never come
so i would love to turn you on
maybe tomorrow will never come
so i would love to turn you on
maybe tomorrow will never come
so i would love to turn you on
