Story Behind The Song

i wrote it in 2003 after the Govt unethically and apologetically sent our country's military into Iraq, and the fear (threat) level of our nation was stuck on red. i felt like i was witnessing the mass crime of hyper-nationalistic sightless patriotism, with no regard for the truth or diplomacy... and it all seemed so silly to me at the time so i wrote this song,though not half as silly as we were whiskey drunk at the time of its recording.

Song Description

a satirical ode to freedoms baby boy; John Q. USA, may he never behave in such an irrational, shoot to kill anything that moves and bomb any country we choose, fashion. it was not becoming of us. we are better than that.
