Story Behind The Song
After Super Storm Sandy I was staying with my in-laws who had no heat or electricity, but a great piano. I wore a full winter jacket and wrote a few tunes including this. I wrote the lyrics from my personal experience about leaving Long Beach, watching the destruction on television, visiting the town to help friends and get my personal things in order, and I mention the help we had received from our neighbors.
