Owls' Psalm (for guitar and orchestra)

Story Behind The Song

It was September eleventh, 2001. I felt the sadness of the world on my shoulders as I walked through the forest near my home. As I was walking home, I heard an owl call just to my right, and another one answer just to my left. I went home and played the melody on the guitar, then moved it around a bit and it turned into "Owls Psalm." I get the Barred Owl level sponsorship at the state park every year as a co-writers pay, to help preserve the habitat for the owls.

Song Description

The core melody was originally sung by two barred owls, Muriel adds a chordal accompaniment to the owl's beautiful melody. Solo acoustic guitar and string orchestra.
