Song DescriptionWith mommy vocals and kids vocals, this song addresses the universal problem of kids and their whining. Starting off negative and turning to the positive, it's a good teaching tool for families. Your kids will love dramatizing the whining along with my kids vocal team.
Story Behind the SongWho teaches kids how to whine? They just...do it! It's an innate, instinctive trait of children...but children can be trained to be grateful and quit whining. That's why I wrote this song. I want to help families to train their children in the well-mannered way. I actually solicited suggestions from my fans when writing this song. I asked them, "What do your kids whine about?" Their suggestions helped me write this song.

Lyrics
Our children have voices that make happy noises
It's pleasant to hear them at play
But when they get cranky, it makes me feel angry
Especially when they complain!
And they whine
How they whine
When things are not going their way.
And they whine
How they whine
It can ruin a wonderful day.
KIDS: How come I'm always stuck in the back seat?
Gimme a snack! I want something to eat.
How come I have to stop playing my game?
MOM: And that's how my children complain.
Our children have choices to make happy noises
It's pleasant to hear them at play
It sure beats the whining I heard all the time and
Instead, it's THANKS that they say.
And they mind! (and they mind)
And they're kind! (and they're kind)
They're learning the well-mannered way
And they mind! (and they mind)
And they're kind. (and they're kind)
It makes for a wonderful day.
KIDS: I'm glad I can ride and I don't have to walk.
I'm glad I have food and I'm able to talk.
I'm grateful for work and the games we can play.
MOM: And that's how my children have changed.
MOM: And they mind, and they're kind.
They're learning the well-mannered way (2 x)
It makes for a wonderful day.
KIDS: And we mind, and we're kind...
