Story Behind The Song
I wanted to write a song to teach kids how to be kind.
Song Description
Teaches kids to walk in love, not hurting other kids. Teaches kids that when they put their shoes on in the morning, that is when they should remember and determine to be kind to others that day.

Lyrics
I'm glad I've got some shoes to put on my feet.
Mommy bought 'em for me and they're really neat.
They fit just right and their lights go blink
and when I put 'em on, Mama says to think:
Chorus: Everywhere I walk
Let me walk in love
Help me not to kick, Lord
Teach me not to shove
When I put my shoes on
Make up my mind
Today is the day
That I will be kind.
I've had 'em for a while and they're gettin' gray
I'm doin' my best to be kind each day.
I messed up once, called my friend a nerd
I need to remember all my shoe song words:
My feet are growin', shoes're gettin' tight
Dad says we'll head for the store tonight.
The old ones can be for my dog to chew.
He wants to buy me sneakers that are fresh and new.
Bridge: I guess that's the way that it's gotta be.
I like my new ones even though they don't blink.
And when I put 'em on and double-tie the bow
I'll just remember how my shoe song goes: (sing chorus)
