Story Behind The Song
this was the first song we ever wrote as a band. it's funny 'cause we didn't even know what the lyrics were to the song. then a couple of weeks later we got a new p.a. system with more power, so we heard the lyrics for the first time after playing the song with another little piece of crap p.a. and not really hearing anything. the lyrics were awesome, but for a long time we had no idea what they were.

Lyrics
I?m sick and tired of hiding behind this guitar
I know Athena never wanted people to die
But these golden strings just hide my other face
She?s just trying to brighten up Olympus?s day
When I take her home tonight
She?s a woman I?m her man
She makes the stars outside oh so very bright
I feel like a king in a peasant?s land
If she ever knew Jesus Christ
What a different world it would be
Cause behind every good man there?s a better woman
And she?s the best I?ve ever had
When I take her home tonight
She?s a woman I?m her man
She makes the stars outside oh so very bright
I feel like a king in a peasant?s land
The rose pedals that she walks on
Through the valleys of my soul
Are just the shattered pieces from hearts of men like me
You know that mines the smallest one
When I take her home tonight
She?s a woman I?m her man
She makes the stars outside oh so very bright
I feel like a king in a peasant?s land
When I take her home tonight
She?s a woman I?m her man
She makes the stars outside oh so very bright
I feel like a king in a peasant?s land
