Story Behind The Song
I was very much in love with someone, and in love with the idea of someone, but we just didn't connect on fundamental levels. I feel this is common. Music was inspired by Chris Trapper, one of the songwriters alive in my opinion.

Lyrics
Far, Far Away
By Mitch Linker
No we don't talk
There ain't no way to work it out
For all of the love
You'd think we'd have found a way to like
But I break your heart, and I don't know how
Someone close to me is happier far, far away
Someone close to me is happier far, far away
From all of the drama
From all of the fire and breathlessness
You'd think it'd be better
You'd think we'd embrace a touch of rest
but the pressure goes up, when the tension is down
Someone close to me is happier far, far away
Someone close to me is happier far, far away
If I leave on a high note, I won?t call
I?ll give it some time before we fall
We turned a moment into a week
We get more mileage when we don't speak
For now, we?ve got a memory of a smile
I brought you up, like I've let you down
I wanna revel in this for a while
The feeling of how it all would be
If you weren't you and I was not me
Someone close to me is happier far, far away
Someone close to me is happier far, far away
