Once when I was a little boy I decided not to go out and play
I wanted to help my mom with the household chores that day
I took out the garbage cans before she even knew
And she couldn?t believe her eyes when she saw me clean my room
I went to the kitchen and saw the dishes being soaked
So I loaded the dishwasher but I couldn?t find the soap
I went and got my bubble bath and poured a little in
It didn?t look like there was enough so I poured the whole box in

When my mother saw the mess, she didn?t yell or scream
She knew I was trying to help her and not be mean
After we cleaned it up I brushed my teeth and went to bed
But I couldn?t count any sheep with all those bubbles in my head
