Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song during a transitional time in my life. I was growing away from my best friends, and was coming off the heels of an ended relationship. I needed to write a song that had slow, pretty verses that represented calm thinking about the past, alternating with hard, fast choruses representing the angry side of dwelling on the past.
Song Description
Wishing that things were how they used to be. Dwelling on the past, fearful of the future.

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Feeling time moving slow
Have to find where I have to go
Go to take that next road
Not knowing where I?ll go
Pre-Chorus:
Everything on my mind these days is my memories
Thinking of the time when I was running free
Everything that was right?s gone wrong, it?s my destiny
Wishing that my life was the way it used to be
Chorus:
Wishing that things were the way that they used to be
I?m living a life of confusion and misery
Wishing that things were the way that they used to be
I?m living with pain and despair and calamity
Verse 2:
Take me back to a place and time
When I felt like I could not go wrong, and the world was only mine
Every night gone by feels like the end of time
When I chose my path I did it blind
(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)
Verse 3:
The rain falls down as the angels cry
I?ve lost my way and I don?t know why
When I think I?ve found the strength to try
I?m pushed to the ground by the sound of my past telling me goodbye
(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)
Verse 4:
If I could make all the pain subside
Put my fears behind, keep the hope inside
I?d take a chance, let patience be my guide
I could hope for a better day, not have to run and hide
(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)
