Story Behind The Song
I was moved to write this song after watching a documentary about the Warner Brothers and the successes and betrayals that they shared over their lives together.
Song Description
A look back on a relationship past from the perspective of an older, wiser person. The overwhelming message though is that, given the chance, this person wouldn't change the experiences they'd shared.

Lyrics
Tired eyes on worn out faces
Footprints in worn out places
Our lives in sunset coloured light - all is quiet
Melancholy years grieving what was lost
But if we did it over again, still I'd give my love
We hide in nooks and crannies
Shackled in sharpened memories
The plot made dusty over time after time
Melancholy years grieving what was lost
But if we did it over again, still you'd have my love
Oh earning all my fears, counting up the cost
But if we did it over again oh still I'd give my love
My love
Oh melancholy years
Oh grieving what was
If we did it over again, oh still I'd give my love
Whoa - earning all my fears
Counting up the cost
But if we did it over again
Oh still you'd have my love
