Stubborn

Story Behind The Song

Like many of our songs, the music was written awhile ago, all we needed was the lyrics. Those were inspired by most of our past relationships, the kind where you really want a person to be the right one for you, but they just aren't, but you aren't sure if you want to break it off or not (being in an unfullfilling relationship vs. not being in one at all).

Lyrics

Last night I wanted to try and call you again
I sat up wondering where you had been
I knew when you got back there?d be another fight
But I just want things between us to be right

Chorus:
I just can?t swallow my pride
I will keep my pain buried inside
You keep saying how great things will be
If I could just let you walk all over me

To be honest, I?m wondering if this will work out
I?ve seen this before, and now there's some doubt
All this double-talk and pulling back and changing your tone
But I?ve already had too much time on my own

Chorus

I don?t want to spend one more night alone
I?m too stubborn to let you stay and too weak to let you go
I don?t want to spend one more night alone
I?m too stubborn to let you stay and too weak to let you go

Chorus
