Story Behind The Song
"To Be Funk Ky" is the third track on the new solo album by Mathieu Fiset ; "Contradictions". It's an Electro Funk/Jazz song with a little "Bebop" flavour in the synth melody, inspired by Eddie Harris's "Freedom Jazz Dance". The vocals were mostly inspired by Prince's "rapping" style and it's the first time Mathieu's used his voice without the vocoder.
