I'm A Handful

Story Behind The Song

We have had so much fun touring the world with Francine, and her humor and showmanship have made it both delightful and inspirational. Raven and I wrote this as an homage to her larger than life persona. She is indeed a handful!

Song Description

In first verse the hen tells the little red rooster he better eat his Wheaties, or he'll wish he had!, because she's a handful. In the second verse Eve tells Adam "Hand me down that apple and hold on to your hat, 'cause I'm a handful. In the last verse, Francine sings about herself, saying "you better bring your Visa, better bring your Diner's Club, cause I'm a handful."

"I'm a Handful" ©1998 Marvin Taylor / five feathers music (BMI)

The little red rooster told the little hen (I got to)
Do my cock-a-doodle-do then I'll be back again
(She said) OK Mister Rooster If you do I will be glad
But you better eat your Wheaties If you don't you'll wish you had

Cause I'm a handful
Sweet as I can be, but
I'm a handful If you can get your hands on me
Just as good as gold, but just as hard to hold
I'm a handful

(Instrumental turn around)

Now down in The Garden Adam said to Eve
?I'm the baddest man in the neighborhood and I do just like I please?
Eve said to Adam ?Well, I'll have to give you that
Just hand me down that apple And hold on to your hat

Cause I'm a handful
Sweet as I can be, but
I'm a handful If you can get your hands on me
Just as good as gold, and just as hard to hold
I'm a handful?

(SOLO)
(Instrumental turn around)

Now forget about those chickens and that Garden of Eden scene
And pay me strict attention 'cause we talkin' 'bout me.
I'm ready, willing, and able To speak the language of love
But you better bring your Visa, You better bring Diner's Club

Cause I'm a handful
Sweet as I can be, but
I'm a handful If you can get your hands on me
I'm just as good as gold, and I?m just as hard to hold
I'm a handful

Yes, I'm a handful
Sweet as I can be, but
I'm a handful If you can get your hands on me
Just as good as gold, but just as hard to hold
I'm a handful
