Song Description

I had a bad dream abut losing someone I love and it woke me up to how much I really loved and needed that person.

Broadjam Member Reviews

everything appears to be a dream in this song. reminds me of the wizard of oz. your wake up call ended the tragedy. sometimes we are not as fortunate. tragedy begins when we wake up. good song none the less.

Lyrics

My Wake Up Call

I ran to the edge of the cliff
When I saw you falling
That long distance to the bottom of the sea
The sky and water turned dark
Swore I heard you calling
But I coudn't save the one who gave life to me

Standing there drowning in despair
No I can't imagine losing you

Chorus
I woke up in tears and it opened my eyes
I've been too caught in life to see I pushed you aside
Last night I dreamed that I saw you fall
I went to sleep and got my wake up call

I quickly drove to you home
To make sure you were alright
Walked in the room and awoke you with a kiss
We laughed about the old times
I cried as the morning light
Exposed my heart to the things I had dismissed

All the time right in front of me
I'm sorry I didn't notice you

Repeat Chorus

I saw my world fall apart and come together again
Then I realized you're my best friend
And I'll never drift from what I need (I need you)
I'm glad it's not too late

Repeat Chorus
