Song DescriptionA relaxing worshipful song. The writers shows a holy passion to be with the king eternal
Story Behind the SongChambers of the King:
I went once to a prayer house with a friend. This beautiful house is run by a family and two of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet. They host estrangers almost every night and they pray for them and minister to them in the most precious, tender ways. I remember going on this beautiful house. The presence of the lord was definitely there. THE FIRE PLACE WAS GOING, the name of ?Holy, Holy, Holy is the lord God almighty? was written on top of the magnificent fireplace in gold letters. Beautiful worship music was playing softly. I was enthralled by the whole experience. Then one of the ladies came to me and laid her hands on me and said, ?you are the bride of Christ and the Holy Spirit is showing me how much you are waiting for Him?. This is where this song was born. ?I run to you, you run to me? the song starts, because I was going through great turmoil?s in my life, that was what I was doing running to Him to this far away place tucked deep in the beautiful farms of Minnesota. Basically this song is about how we as Christian should treasure going to Him to the house of prayer (where we meet with Him) it could be in church or at home or a home like I just described above.
Lyrics
CHAMBERS OF THE KING
BY Loyda Hjelte Copyright 2003
I run to You, You run to me
And here we meet, in your house of prayer
The lights are on, the fire burns
And the fragrance of your love is in the air
Draw close to me, and me to you
Let us run toward the chambers of the king
I will rejoice, be glad in you
I will extol your love that is better than life
My Lord, my Strength, my Master I came to serve You
My Friend, my Hope, my Savior I came to hear You
It is here where I receive kisses from heaven
In your house of prayer I hear your whispers of love
In this holy place I?ll surrender all
And Jesus what you say is what I will do ?
My Love, my Prince, my Bridegroom I?m waiting for You
My Song, my All, my Righteousness I came to praise You?
I came to hear you, I came to love you.
