morning breaks

as i pull my thoughts together

my clouded mind at times seems to last forever

your sunlight warms my soul cold is the air

the sky so beautiful so blue the day is fair

and the day is still fair

 

i love the beauty

but i know in the back of my mind

how inconstant is the weather

how inconstant is time

but i bask as this morning air clears away

my gently thoughts  enter slowly today

 

dream my dreams away

but then i dream and i drip and i slip to fall

this meek sense of security never leaves me at all

but as the days are to come

and the nights will leave me cold

my breath will last forever , i will never know.
