I thought you were a pineapple, you really were a peach.
When I held you in my hand you were always out of reach.
Walking through the produce isle with your face in mind.
Even on my way out I still get to wait in line.

The dollars in my hand. Empty cart and scan.
Could have sworn I had it in the bag. It's spoiled when I left it in the van.

I though you were a carnival, you really were a shit.
Went down in front for a good view but found no place to sit.
Something seemed a bit strange or funny, odorous at least.
Took a seat on the floor, just to watch the show but instead I stained my jeans.

Didn't see no clowns.
No critters from the zoo.
Could've been so easy, instead of feces.
