Story Behind The Song
My dad is a WWII Veteran, and I wrote this song to show he and all Veterans how much we are greatful for their service.
Song Description
This song is about a guy who loves his country with all heart, mind and soul although he never endured the pain and suffering of serving in a war. But, since 911, I pledge that if the terrorists come to my backyard, I will fight and do my part as the Veteran's have courageously done.

Lyrics
I wasn?t called for duty
I never had to march
Never wore the uniforms
Or heard commands to charge
Never forced to leave my family
For some far away land
Never lost a brother
Or held a dying man
But how my eyes well up
When I hear the anthem play
And I think of all they went through
So I could be free today
How can I repay them
For all that they have done
My heart goes out to those who fought
For I am, Yes I am
A veterans son! A veterans son!
No longer in a foreign land
But in my own home town
I pledge to all if duty calls
I will not let you down
But all I have to offer now
Are words I want to say
I will love and honor this country
May God Bless the USA
The USA, God Bless the USA, Hey Hey Hey, The USA?
