Lyrics
I once knew a girl who lived in a house,
With a creaky door in a town called Trouse,
She had many friends and a loving family,
She was quite content playing Pictionary.
Then she met the Hero of Trouse.
He smiled at her in the supermarket,
She had a cheesey grin and a pack of prawn crisps,
He looked at her and asked her out,
Right away she said yes without a doubt.
That's how she met the Hero of Trouse.
Her friends were jealous they said they saw him first,
But they didn't realise he would be a curse,
Naively she fell in love with him,
Who knows how he took that in.
She fell in love with the Hero of Trouse.
After 56 years they still were close,
Though at times she found rather gross,
The Hero had a secret to tell,
Because compared to her he had aged rather well.
He still looked good the Hero of Trouse.
One day she looked in the mirror and said,
Why do you look so good when I look so dead?
At once she wished she had not asked that question,
The truth sent her into instant depression.
He was not human the Hero of Trouse.
Now she is dead but he still lives on,
Although he has changed his name to Tom,
He still remembers when they played ping-pong,
That's why he asked me to write him this song.
I write this song for the Hero of Trouse.
I write this song for the Hero of Trouse.
I once knew a girl who lived in a house,
With a creaky door in a town called Trouse.
