Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song when I was visiting my parents after my husband of 10 years and I had separated. I remember when I walked in the first thing I saw was our wedding picture hanging in its usual spot on the wall. Most of the extended family didn?t know all the details so of course everyone was asking about him and wondering how he was doing, etc. It was so painful, I kind of locked myself in a room and wrote this song to deal with it.

Once your heart has been broken, and you?ve passed that point of no return, no amount of painful yet compelling memories can turn things around and make your heart feel love again. You can wish for your heart to feel that love, your brain can implore your heart to feel what it is ?supposed to? feel by flooding it with sad but alluring memories but nonetheless, those memories are just not enough reason for your heart to want to return to that painful relationship and put itself in such a vulnerable position again. Memories simply cannot force your heart to love someone again.
