Song Description

It's Christmas time and a young girl and her girlfriends are sitting around the tree. Suddenly Santa barely squeezes through the fireplace opening...Seeing that he's become way too big, the girls break into song about how he can lose weight this year. The girls give him upbeat advice on dieting and exercise and try to encourage him to "cut the fat" this holiday season...after all, "his poor reindeer aren't getting any younger!"

Lyrics

CUT THE FAT, SANTA
©2005 Simons & Cameron

Verse 1
I?m so sorry, Santa, but us kids let you down
All that milk and cookies made your belly too round
-We should leave fruits and vegetables
-And not high cal delectables
Santa, you?re way too stout!
You better cut back or you?re gonna bust out!

Chorus 1
Cut Back,Santa! On cookies and cheer
Cut the sweets and Christmas treats and holiday beer
You better take better care of yourself because us kids want you here
CUT THE FAT, SANTA!
You gotta lose some weight this year!

Verse 2
I?m so sorry, Santa, but us kids went to far
We should leave a low-fat, low-cal, low-carb breakfast bar
-You love donuts best of all
-But you don?t need cholesterol
Santa, you?re way too big!
And nobody likes a Christmas pig!

Chorus 2
Cut Back,Santa! On cookies and cheer
Cut the steaks and Christmas cakes and holiday beer
You better take better care of yourself because us kids hold you dear
CUT THE FAT, SANTA!
You gotta lose some weight this year!

(Dixieland Solo)

2

Chorus 3
Cut Back,Santa! On cookies and cheer
Cut the salts and Christmas malts and holiday beer
You better take better care of yourself because us kids want you near
CUT THE FAT, SANTA!
You better start your diet this year!

Verse 3
I?m so sorry, Santa, but us kids didn?t know
You chow down on cookies every house that you go
-We should leave nuts and whole grain oats
-Now us kids all feel like goats
Santa, let?s curb your hunger!
Your poor reindeer arent getting any younger!

Chours 4
Cut Back,Santa! On cookies and cheer
Cut the steaks and Christmas cakes and holiday beer
You better take better care of yourself because us kids hold you dear
CUT THE FAT, SANTA!
You gotta lose some weight this year!

(Dixieland Solo)
Chorus 5
Cut back, Santa, on cookies and cheer
Cut the roast and cinamon toast and holiday beer
You better take better care of yourself because us kids want you here
CUT THE FAT, SANTA
You gotta dump some pounds this year!

Chorus 6 (Repeat Chorus 1)
