Song Description

It seems that all of us know someone or have personally experienced the struggle with cancer. This song is for all of us.

Story Behind the Song

As part of my work with Songs of Love I have been blessed to meet some of the most courageous families and kids who have or are facing difficult health challenges. I have also known some of the strongest people who have traveled cancer's winding road of uncertainty. This is their song and my plea that we find a cure. ALL PROCEEDS SUPPORT RELAY FOR LIFE AND THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY. Thanks for being a part of the cure!

Lyrics

One says I can't believe he's gone
One says I'm a fighter
I am strong
One says I'm tired of hanging on
A mama sighs - it's gonna be a long night
A baby cries - Daddy
Hold me tight
I say
Something here isn't right

We don't have to look to far to see
The war we wage with uncertainty
This battle like no one before
Rips us to our core

Where there's a hand
There is hope
Together we'll walk this winding road
The candlelight burns to remind us
We must endure
So take my hand
Let's fight together
And find a cure

She wears a scarf around her head
He anticipates yet another test
They're working hard to fight the spread

It takes us all
It takes courageous heart
We're walking on
Lighting up the dark
Everyone of us a part
Of the cure

Where's there a hand...
