Song Description
I would hope that most people would sense that this song is about more than just camping, even if they can't put their finger on it. I would hope a few people would see that the first verse is an image of courtship & marriage. The chorus says that God gives both good and bad times, but a true couple commits to take it all together. The second verse is an image of starting a family and overcoming the obstacles that come to all marriages. The bridge asserts, along with I Corinthians 13:13, that love is what truly remains after our lives have been lived.

Lyrics
We get an early start on an uphill hike
On the mountaintop I kiss you in the morning light
Above the clouds, a breath-taking view
Still not as beautiful as you
Taking in God?s grand display
The clouds below, the sun above
Hand in hand we?ll find our way
Outdoors, in love
We come back down and set up camp
It?s time to light the Coleman lamp
A storm blows in and the rain pours down
It makes a mess but we hang around
Taking in God?s grand display
The mud below, the clouds above
Hand in hand we?ll find our way
Outdoors, in love
God gave the sun, God gave the rain
The day is gone, now, but love remains
Taking in God?s grand display
The earth below, the stars above
Hand in hand we?ll find our way
Outdoors, in love
