Story Behind The Song
Uncle Roy is the nickname my brother gave to his former employer. He traveled the mid-west and the company provided daily funds to cover food and lodging. We used the money to go camping and party - all on Uncle Roy's dime of course.

A bird cries out in the dark
Flying free in the sky
Battle lines are etched in the earth
Spirit winds lift our souls
A campfire burns in the night
Four men raisin? hell
A noise breaks through the mist
Coyotes crying ? crying
Signs of life ? guitars strummin?
Uncle Roy ? autumn?s comin?
As we raise our flasks we drink to Uncle Roy
Uncle Roy does not know his cost
On account of him ? we revel free
Our debt shapes his eternal peace
We are safe ? forgive us
Signs of life ? guitars strummin?
Uncle Roy ? autumn?s comin?
As we raise our flasks we drink to Uncle Roy
Uncle Roy show us the way
Uncle Roy care for us today
As we raise our flasks we drink ? to Uncle Roy
