Lyrics

Lucky One Bruce and Keith Taylor Copyright March 2013

Here you come walking, talking, looking
Like you are all any man could need
Envy that man who's holding your hand
He's a lucky man indeed

There you go, I'm thinking, knowing, dreaming
That you could've been with me
There was a time you could have been mind
How lucky should one man be

Chorus
But I'm not a lucky one
Who's to blame
I can only blame myself
The day Lady Luck
Came walking my way
I was walking with somebody else

There you go, I'm watching, knowing, feeling
That the chance has passed me by
More than a game, it seems such a shame
Lady Luck never tells you why

Chorus
But I'm not a lucky one
Who's to blame
I can only blame myself
Cause the day Lady Luck
Came walking my way
I was walking with somebody else

Timing means everything
Timing means all
He won your love
The luckiest man of all

Chorus
I'm not a lucky one
Who's to blame
I can only blame myself
Cause the day Lady Love
Came walking my way
I was walking with somebody else

Captivating intro, nice picking and a good riff. Vocals come in smoky and cool. Good story interesting
There's a lot to like about this . Ch is singable and the hook is reasonably good

Love the Guitar picking in the song, really good guitar work. I also like the subtle harmonies in the song also. Great simple song but still complex Great balance there. Overall a great sounding song good job!

Sounds like a lot the stuff coming outta Nashville nowadays.. though that is certainly a mixed blessing.

LIKED THE VIBE

Nice guitar work and very cool vibe! Nice strong hook and super solo section. Harmonies in the right sections. Good dynamic vocal delivery. Wishing you all the best with this cool tune! I hope its the lucky one.

NIce job! This is a good tune to submit for tv-movie synching. Guitar-work good and the recording is excellent. Harmonies are on point. Genre could be country-rock-blues which is good to appeal to a large audience. Keep rockin!!

Nice groove and I like the fact that it's a very spare instrumental = I would like to hear more instruments kick in later in the song however..

WoW, what a great little song.
Good stuff.
reminds me a little bit of Steve Earle or Kevin Welch.
I dig it.

Solid hook in a well written country/rock style with strong present vocals.

like the clever lyrics you get to think about whats being said, phrasing is real catchy hey dude I've been there and done that, a hint of funky, nice tune dude, I like it.

Very enjoyable demo...would love to hear with a full production. Singer was great in convincing me that he wasn't the lucky one...simple idea, but a darn good one. Lyrics were solid...rhythm guitar sounded great.

country blues rock acoustic with some very cool guitar playing. nice sound and vocals and style on this track
main rhythm is very familiar , good performance on this short track

Well done. A beautiful piece of Americana Country.
Acoustic and vocals are good. Well balanced production. QUite enjoyable.

I like how the rhythm guitar groove and the lead classical sounding guitar, great vocals as well.

I can definitely hear this song in a film especially a Las Vegas themed film, the lyrics are very well written. the hook is very catchy although I like the instrumentation of the song I think if you added and blended more instruments in to the song maybe a little piano not that it isn't good as is but I think some additional instrumentation would enhance it nicely.

Great up front vocal- fine harmonies-little acoustic riffs were cool. Intriguing lyrics. I like this for its quirkiness. Enjoyed,
