When she first came to church she was eight years old and I was seventeen. But that was eight years ago when we didn't know what the word love really means.
but I thought she was special. She thought i was cute
We bonded a little and friendship took its root.

When she was fourteen years old one time we talked for two days. A genuine heart to heart. And I really must say I was just as amazed as I was torn apart.
Cause she told me some horror stories of things she had done .
And how things had changed around her, and what she had become.
I shake my head, she says"What?" I said"Last time I saw you ,you were just a child." She makes a fist, pounds her heart, and she says "I still am Right here. Right here."Now she's sixteen years old and she's trying to get straight. and I know that she will.
But her heart is still broke and there's still lots of pain and the girl needs time to heal.
I got a letter and picture today cause we stay in touch.
I read those words and I saw those photo's she's really changed so much
She said "Here's a picture of me so now you can take me with you where ever you go.
You have always been there for me and I love you and I want you to know. You'll always have a special place in my heart.
No matter what may change you'll always have this place.
