Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after listening to BB King sing "The Thrill is Gone" I loved that sound and wanted to apply it to a Christian theme of wanting to be with Jesus someday. This song is the result.
Song Description
When Christians sing the blues, it's because we want to be with Jesus...confident that we will someday, looking out over the distant horizon to how long it will really be.

Lyrics
Forever and A Day
I want to be in Your glorious presence
Forever and a day,
Oh, I want to see Your glory,
Lord, show me the way,
I will know it when I see it,
And there I'm going to stay.
You showed it to Moses, You showed it to the prophets,
You showed it to Abraham,
You showed it to the shepherds on that holy night
In the land of Bethlehem,
Throughout all time You have been
Showing us Your hand.
Peter, James and John were there
When You let Your glory show
On the Mount of Transfiguration
But it was there all the time, I know
Jesus, You raised Yourself in glory
Up from the dead,
You aren't in the tomb,
You are risen, like you said.
And we're all going to see You in Your glory
When You come back again...
