Lyrics
You speak to ears that cannot hear
With downcast eyes filled with tears
From across the room a nervous laugh
A happy tale from the past
Don't be sad, I've gone to a better place
Be glad, give thanks as you look upon my face
Don't speak in whispers, no please don't cry for me
Smile and laugh my friend, don't cry for me
Long faces with swollen eyes
A tender word, a gentle sigh
A warm embrace, a soft touch
A solemn room for so much love
Don't be sad, I've gone to a better place
Be glad, give thanks as you look upon my face
Don't speak in whispers, no please don't cry for me
Smile and laugh my friend, don't cry for me
(reflective instrumental bridge)
Don't be sad, I've gone to a better place
Be glad, give thanks as you look upon my face
Don't speak in whispers no please don't cry for me
Smile and laugh my friend, don't cry for me
