Story Behind The Song

Have you ever had those moments when you were praying and you just knew that your prayer was just you talking to yourself? I've had more of those than I can count. It was a few years ago and I was in my truck and life was just beating me up... my family was having problems, my business was failing, and I had just had a baby boy (not me but my wife). I really don't know how it happened but I remembered that Jesus said somewhere that with just a little faith you should be able to move mountains. And I was like yeah right Jesus it's easy for you to say You're the Son of God. But I started to really think about that. See in the part of California where I lived I was surrounded by mountains so everyday I was reminded by those words. Then one day I came across again a passage that said that I could get faith by hearing the Word of God. And I set out to do just that. I got some audio books and I just started to listen to the Word all day as I drove up and down the highway. As the words got in me my faith grew and grew and I started to realize that the mountains that I needed moved were of my doubt and unbelief. You see, my circumstances were only temporary although it seemed like they would last forever they did soon pass. But what remained was a lasting experience with God that I can share today. So no, I didn't go throw the Sierra Nevada's into the sea (of course not I'd be famous and you would already know about me) but I gained something much better, faith to receive the grace He had for me that was sufficient to help me endure my trails.
