In many failed relationships, one side is a little more at fault...usually the other person. This song started with that feeling because one person also usually wants it to work out and tries to turn their head the other way to some shortcomings until finally something occurs that pushes it too far. The song grew out of the hook line: This Time I Won't Forgive You, or I Won't Forgive Myself.

The story is that this persons partner was about the biggest cheat/liar that ever was but our singer kept forgiving and taking them back until now. Basically, there was something that was the last straw.
