Story Behind The Song

...At one point I thought I was Todd Rundgren's biggest fan the day I discovered his album, Something/Anything. I put the needle on the record and the first track, I Saw the Light played and I was hooked. I realized this was also the same guy that had a hit with the song We Gotta Get You a Woman from the 1970 Runt LP! One of the first Todd song's I played in a band was Kiddie Boy off the Nazz Nazz record. I would promote Todd to anybody that would listen and bought every recording he made. Next to the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix, Todd's music was the music I truly related to. Guitar wise I was also influenced by Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Johnny Winter, and so many other great players from that time period. And now I have finally recorded my version of Todd's epic hit, I Saw the Light. Todd's fans these days are absolutely fanatical about him, and I was aprehensive about recording this song. I've recorded it in the spirit of paying tribute to one of my biggest musical inspirations and hope Todd gives it a listen...
