Lyrics

VERSE 1
Last night I heard you crying for me feeling like I left you all alone
So alone
Little did you know that I was sitting there beside you all along
I’ll never let you go

VERSE 2
What’s this I see before me could it be my son my God look how he’s grown
I wish that I could hold him I wish that I could somehow say hello
And I love you so

CHORUS
Can you hear me crying for you now love
Can you see me grieving every night
I never had the chance to say
I never had the chance to say goodbye

VERSE 3
We’d sailed for less than seven days the storms had come and raised the raging seas
The winds had torn our sails away the waves had grown to the likes you’ve never seen

BRIDGE
With a pounding heart I prayed to God and took my final breath
The waters crashed down over us and swept us to our death
To the seas to our rest

VERSE 4
So now I sit beside you yet I find myself another world away
And if by chance you’d hear me then these would be the last words that I’d say

BRIDGE 2
Don’t cry for me now love don’t grieve another night
Don’t cry for me now son and never say goodbye
We never have to say goodbye

DOUBLE CHORUS
Can you hear me crying for you now love
Can you see me grieving every night
I never had the chance to say
I never had the chance to say goodbye

Can you hear me crying for you now love
Can you see me grieving every night
I never have to say goodbye
We never have to say goodbye
