Taking the best out of a handful of riffs, I pretty much jigsawed this song together and surprisingly it worked!The changes are abrut and sharp.I wanted to leave the listner with a mechanical war-like atmosphere.
The intro to the song I recorded seperately and added to the song.When I play live I open my shows the same way,with the pre recorded intro & then the band rips into battleship full speed!
The intro is me playing a riff that I harmonized and doubled up.Then I added some sega genesis and playstation on seprate tracks.Then I ran my voice thru a symphonic string swell guitar effect.I did all this (intro)on a ROLAND VS-880 and it was alot of Fun.
