Story Behind The Song
After purchasing my first motorcycle, I started hanging out more often with other bikers. I fell in love with the tranquility and sense of relaxation I had while riding. After hearing random stories from the "hard core" riders at differnt bike rallies and their misfortunes with women, I realized they all seemed to be content and worry-free just riding around the U.S. on (what appears to be), their "real" true love....their motorcycles. Some of these riders even name their bikes and pamper their bikes as if they were the love of their life.

He travels aimlessly down long windy roads and in and out of different parts of the country to help ease the pain of his break up.

Lyrics
My woman on the road with me
She's shining with her polished paint and chrome
She's grippin' this old pavement
As we scream on down this windy road alone
These country roads are hot
and I'm sweating in these leathers and these blinds
These two wheels keep spinnin' on and on
Gonna get you out my mind
As I'm riding down the highway
It's gonna take me my way
It's gonna take some time
I got a tank of gas and I'm feeling fine
Cause I'm riding down the highway
Gonna get you out my mind
The sun is moving down now, she's got to get some rest
She's got to get up early so I can ride my best
I've let that throttle open up a couple times today
Just so I can hurry up and see what comes my way
As I'm riding down the highway
It's gonna take me my way
It's gonna take some time
I got a tank of gas and I'm feeling fine
Cause I'm riding down the highway
Gonna get you out my mind
Route 66 to those back-wood Texas sticks
That Florida sunrise, to the Albuquerque skies
That southern country kind
To those Cheyenne jeans and cowgirl lines
I'm riding down the highway
Gonna get you out my mind
