Story Behind The Song

This story is about loss and the difficulty in moving on. I wanted to write a bittersweet song about a lost love but an enduring relationship, one in which the not-so-perfect aspects of a life togerher are remembered. The song was aimed to be a realistic picture of love, not one that is seen through rose-coloured glasses.

Song Description

The singer has lost a long time love, and reminisces about the their life together. Everything reminds him of her, and he misses the little things about her. In the course of the song, he finds that these memories, rather than holding him back, are preparing for him to move on.
