Story Behind The Song

Whiskey Whispers is the debut single by country singer/songwriter Jarred Grant featuring award-winning guest vocalist Shannon Schmitt. It is poignant duet about two lovers from opposite walks of life who come together over their shared appreciation for country music. Whiskey Whispers was written and recorded in Boston, MA and released for digital download in July 2012. The twang of the lap steel over the percussive sound of the acoustic guitar sets the tone for this mid-tempo country song right out of the gate. Shannon's reflective vocals blend perfectly with Jarred's deep, rich drawl bringing to mind such greats as Johnny & June Carter Cash or Tim McGraw & Faith Hill. Whiskey Whispers will also be available on the up coming full length album tentatively scheduled for release in the winter of 2012
