Lyrics
The refugee
The winds a little colder you pull your coat a little closer
Your thoughts are so far away
Your feeling so alone now, there?s nowhere else to turn now
if you could just survive the day
Chorus
A refugee from somewhere, somewhere that is no longer there
Someone who?s been caught in between
The forces of power and greed
There are others in the compound,
No family to be found, many with infectious disease
There is little food here, the water is unclean
There are many mouths to feed.
chorus
Your child now is crying and even though you are trying
You cannot take his hunger away
You are all he has now and you are wondering how
You will get through this day
Chorus
There are soldiers in the distance, how you loath their existence
If only they would just go away
Now you?re hearing gunfire, you sing a lullaby
Rockaby baby I pray?..
Chorus?.
