Lyrics
So many friends, I?ve had throughout the years
Some stay in touch, and some just disappear
I often wonder how there doing these days
You try and call, and find they moved away
(Chorus)
You?d think they?d let you know
You think that they might care
Maybe drop a line, and let you know where
I?d really like to know
Why a friend, leaves his past behind
Was it something I said? Id really like to know
Was it something I did? Maybe I should let it go
I?m really not one for dwelling on the past.
Time goes flying by so quick, I just try to make it last.
(Chorus)
You?d think they?d let you know
You think that they might care
Maybe drop a line, and let you know where
I?d really like to know
Why a friend, leaves his past behind
How ya doing Joe, I hope that all is well, you know
I can only assume that things are doing just fine
But how would I know, when I get no reply.
I get no reply.
I tried calling information, and they weren?t any help
Tried looking on line, but the search found know results
Maybe I should give it up, or maybe they?ll call me
Would it be like dejavu or an unsolved mystery?
(Chorus)
You?d think they?d let you know.
You think that they might care.
Maybe drop a line, and let you know where.
I?d really like to know.
Why a friend, leaves his past behind.
