Story Behind The Song
July 11/05, while working at a recording studio in Culver City, I took a friend's suggestion and checked out a little place called The Cinema Bar on Washington and Sepulveda Blvd in Culver City. I'll always remeber that night because of the friendly paople, awesome music and overall great vibe and magic the place has. I wrote this song about that night.

Lyrics
Went to a movie but it turned out to be
a little piece of heaven in a concrete sea
Was told by a friend, who'd been round the bend,
its the only thing left that still reality
Sat at the bar with Sheri & Mom,
Dave & his buddy came in arm & arm
Sarah served Bohemians to Long Neck John
& Lisa sang the prettiest cowgirl songs
Chorus
They didnt care who the hell you are
It's just, Pigtails & Whisky at the Cinema Bar
No high pretentions, no movie stars
Just Pigtails & Whisky at the Cinema Bar
Old men swayed like they were hypnotised
but there was still a lot of life in those weathered eyes
Ladies danced a 2 step on the old oak floor
& Sepulveda swang like never before
Sheri turned on a little schoolgirl charm
Dave & his buddy danced arm in arm
Everybody clapped & sang along
to Lisa's beautiful cowgirl songs
Chorus
I learned a little more 'bout who I am
I like women & drinkin' & a honky tonk band
so if you ever lose track of just who you are
Just look around for a Cinema Bar
Chorus
'Cause we wont care who the hell you are
