Carry Your Burden

Story Behind The Song

I overheard a discussion between God and the Devil just the other day regarding Coronavirus. Listen to the words and music for yourself and it will all make perfect sense in the end..... God Spoke These Words Out Loud to Each and Everyone Of Us So That All Who Had An Ear Could Listen And Hear and this is what he said...

Song Description

The timely new single from Dallas musician Jerry Impini takes on the subject matter - coronavirus - that is part of all of our lives now whether we like it or not. In an appropriate manner, Impini adds God and the devil to the mix, and for many, that is a too familiar, yet still surreal, thing. Pianos and keys dominate this aptly suited piano rock and singer/songwriter track. Impini's vocals, along with the lyrics, are somehow dark and aspirational at the same time. There are some 80's-styled elements intertwined, including the mini guitar solos. Impini began his musical education at the age of six years old and attended Fiorello LaGuardia School of Music and the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center in New York City as a teenager. He writes, performs, records and produces all of his own recordings. Reviewed by Indie Rock Cafe https://indierockcafe.com/2020/05/new-2020-indie-songs-playlist-8/

Lyrics

I don't wanna grow old, to stay young is to live forever
I Can See, The Pain You Hide From Me, I Understand Its Nothing Personal. Your Old and Wise, You Built Immunity, But You Stand In My Way and Those Around You. Everyones Troubled By Your Sickness, Carry Your Burden, From Your Existence

You've Always Blamed Me, I Say I'm Not At Fault, For Your Disease No Mercy no Sympathy. You Told Everyone, Just How Wrong It Was, But Your A Crying Shame, That No One Cares About. You Hold Your Pain, All That Anger Inside, Towards The World, Your Life Is Empty. No One Cares About Your Sickness, Carry Your Burden And Your Existence

So Unfair, Troubled By You, You Should've Been Kept Away, God Knows Its True

(violin solo/strings)

You've Always Blamed Me I Say I'm Not At Fault, For Your Disease No Money For Sympathy, Just About Everyone Knew Just How Wrong It Was You WERE A Crying Shame That No One CARED About.
You Held Your Pain, All That Anger Inside. Towards The World Now That Your Life Has Ended. No One Cared About Your Sickness So Carry Your Burden And Your Existence.

So Unfair, Troubled By You. Should've Been Kept Away,
God Knows Its True.
