Story Behind The Song

After having Zebra Part I very upbeat I wanted to cut the tempo in half and have almost a song that stood in opposition musically to the first part. I wanted to take the big-ness of the first part and just make it even larger. The dubstep breakdown in the 2nd verse is probably my favorite part of the whole songs. It goes from being very moody to much more aggressive with big raspy synthesizers and big drums.

Song Description

As I was finishing Zebra Part I, I was thinking that the song needed to be longer and have a change in feeling. I decided to instead create a part two that would play directly following part one on the album. The feeling as soon as the beat drops is a real ambient building feeling. The drums were inspired by southern crunk music. The song builds until the hook where it reaches a plateau then calms down into the post hook. The second verse changes completely into a dubstep song and has a big electronic feel. As the bridge winds down the song resumes its original format and ends with a synthesizer solo.
