Story Behind The Song
I began the song while riding in the back seat in the Blue Ridge mountains while my elderly mother with poor vision drove. I kept telling her to "turn on her bright lights" and then I began to write this song since I figured I may as well do something productive with my last few minutes on earth (but obviously we made it there safely).

Lyrics
Turn on your bright lights baby
I want to see that centerline
Turn on your bright lights baby
I?m trying to get in touch with a good friend of mine
He lives a couple hundred miles from here
Across the Santa Rosa county line
Turn on your bright lights baby
I want to see that centerline
Turn on your bright lights baby
The moon ain?t gonna shine tonight
Turn on your bright lights baby
I want to see that highway rolling, it?s a beautiful sight
I been up all night drinking coffee and beer
Having me a real good time
Turn on your bright lights baby
I want to see that centerline
Turn on your bright lights baby
I want to see where this highway leads
Turn on your bright lights baby
I got a friend down the line that I want you to meet
When we reach our destination we?ll be up all night
Singing all our favorite songs
Turn on your bright lights baby
We?re gonna make it there before too long
Turn on your bright lights baby
We?re gonna make it there before too long
