Story Behind The Song
In trying to empathize with those who personally experienced a loss in the 9/11 attacks, I tried to imagine how I would approach God in the face of that heartbreak - or rather . . . if I could.
Song Description
This song describes our weakness in times of sorrow, but an unmistakable belief that God is still there, and even when we don't have the strength or motivation to pray, we can ask others to do so on our behalf.

Lyrics
Pray For Me
There are so many questions
In this faith of mine
Some times it seems your blessings
Are hard to find
When sorrow and grief
Overwhelm my heart
I?m at the edge of the sea
And the waters still won?t part
Chorus:
Pray for me
I need a touch from heaven
Pray for me
The smallest touch from heaven
Will give wing to this heavy heart of mine
Will you get on your knees and pray for me?
I stand before this mountain
Without a mustard seed
It seems I?ve been here often
Here lately
Lord, I believe
Help my unbelief
But it?s hard to conceive
Walking in faith that is unseen
Chorus:
Oh, pray that I will walk and will not faint
Oh, pray that I am strengthened while I wait
Oh, pray that in this moment I?ll give thanks
Oh, pray that my faithfulness is great
Chorus:
Though I am in this furnace
I know I?m not alone
Thank you for lifting me
Before my Father?s throne
