Story Behind The Song
This tune was written while I was living (for a couple of years) in Bangkok, but New York City in mind. It was originally performed and recorded onto my Mbox my iBook(Mac) and produced in Bangkok at a friend's studio and picked up producer, Robin DiMaggio and produced again at Capitol Records Studios in L.A., C.A. USA
Song Description
The ups and downs of living in a big city where finding daily enjoyment in entertainment as being artificial (including clubbing and TV), where one gets nothing for free, where people are usually egotistical, dazzling, decrepit etc., etc..., everything that a world can contain. And yet being attracted to it all - hoping one may be rewarded for one's efforts. But while in anticipation of such success, one finds true solace and satisfaction in music - the only thing real.

Lyrics
AFRAFUNKOSOUL
Wow!!
When boredom strikes, it gets you down,
City life, going up and down,
Traffic's rife, there's no delight,
At the job, make no demand,
Grab a cab, onto the streets,
To a club, where drinks flow free,
Nothing's free, you've got to pay,
For alcohol, to numb the cells,
A-cling a-clang, the glasses glowing,
In a nightclub where drinks are pouring,
A-chit a-chat, that makes no sense,
And in the end you know what you're getting,
A funk, a groove, you're on the move,
In a city stuck on mobile phones,
A spin a split, you're in the pit,
Groovin' down to the bone,
It's music, ritual,
Tribal music, spiritual,
Music, orgasmic to the core,
Rival music, getting down to the bone,
Afrafunkosoulistica, contrpuntalfunkayoyo!
Jazzysnazzyparadigms, syncopated parralellisms,
Snippysnappy, cripplin' rhythms, space & time a-bubblin' within,
Bare the cross and learn the ropes of,
Crick-a-crack-a building blocks of creativity,
Shagalaga boom boom, political whack-a-bum,
Movin' up the echelons a-sadistico-varicated,
Educatedwhimsicalbozos,
Afrafunkosolisticacontrapuntalfunkayoyos!
