when i learned that we cannot possess those we love; love is always free; my heart was freed. my life changed. i celebrated loving, and was no longer outcome bound. i remain grateful. some relationships work out as we desired and planned; some do not. love is always free and joyful.

We think that we can bind each other, and hold onto love with rings and vows and chains. but alas probably it is not so. probably nothing is 'ours'; not our beloveds; not our children; not even our dreams. we borrow and return. Still, there is great joy in giving and releasing; this was a love unavailable to me, but part of my journey; and a deep joy shared only in part.
