Song Description

A fascinating song with a complex arrangement starting with a beautiful piano motif that builds into a fully orchestrated poignant piece. Petra Haden contributes backup layered harmonies and Gregg Williams plays tasteful drums under the old school arrangement of piano, strings, flute and different guitars while the gorgeous changes and harmonies float above.

Story Behind the Song

Decades since being a Michael Jackson fan in junior high, I was surprised at the creeper effect within days of how his death hit me, and I explored what is exact in musical creation along with its mysterious power to move people to tears; and spent a couple days crying and writing thoughts about how mathematical AND magical it all is.
